What/Who is Strategic Connections
Strategic Connections is a limited liability company registered in Kenya but operating across Africa and a few countries outside of Africa. We undertake advisory work in management and development. Although registered as a limited company, we position ourselves as a social enterprise, and see ourselves as development practitioners.
Since when has Strategic Connections been in operation?
Strategic Connections was registered and started its operations as a body corporate in 2007. However, all the advisors within the organization have separately/individually had many years of practice prior to joining the organisation. This gives the firm a combined rich practical experience and track record within its fields of specialization.
What does Strategic Connections do?
We are committed both as individuals and as an entity to identification and promotion of practices that make organizations more effective in their developmental endeavors. What type of clients do you deal with?
Strategic Connections works mainly with development actors, although we also undertake a few selected strategic assignments with both the public and private sectors.See the full list at portfolio
How many staff do you have?
The staffing level of Strategic Connections changes from time to time. As of 2016, there were a total of five principle consultants and seven associate consultants, supported by a two administrative staff. The team comprises a good mix of young and dynamic as well as senior and experienced advisors. We associate closely with other national and international firms of repute with whom we share knowledge, experiences, peer support and build synergies for large complex assignments.All principle consultants and associates are experts in fields within our key focus areas. Do you undertake audits?
Other than financial systems reviews/ audits and value for money assessments, Strategic Connections does not undertake statutory audits. We however assist our clients, where need arises to identify appropriate firms for the later whenever necessary. We are associated to a number of audit firms of repute to whom we often refer our clients to.
What are your charges?
Being a social enterprise, we are driven by an ambition of facilitative positive social change; however we use business principles to address this cause. We are not donor funded and therefore generate our own resources by charging for our services.We charge fees for professional services based on the nature assignment (type, complexity, length etc.) as well as the seniority of the selected team members. The level of fees to be charged is usually discussed and agreed with our clients in advance, based on an approved fee structure/ guideline.
